TILL LINDEMANN — 1964

Till Lindemann was born on January 4, 1963 in Leipzig. He is a German singer and poet. At times he also works as a drummer, actor and visual artist. Lindemann is known as the lead singer and lyricist for the music groups Rammstein and Lindemann. US label Roadrunner Records listed Till Lindemann at number 50 on The 50 Greatest Metal Frontmen of All Time.
Lindemann carries the genes of a poet, his father was a famous poet in the GDR. And anyone who listens closely to the lyrics of his band Rammstein, recited in an eerie voice, will clearly notice his poetic heart.
In addition to Rammstein, the talented and versatile artist also worked in other bands, in which he appeared as a guitarist, drummer and singer. He wrote volumes of poetry, many of his texts for Rammstein are based on poetry from the 20th century, such as Goethe, Schiller and Theodor Fontane. The former competitive swimmer in the GDR Olympic team is already the father of two daughters and a son; he raised his first daughter alone for a long time.
