Antique Cookie Jar
Collectors are bidding up the price of antique cookie jars thanks to their appealing blend of quirky art and nostalgic warmth. These ceramic or glass jars were previously used to store cookies but are now highly sought after for their age, rarity, and aesthetic value.
Collectors highly prize these jars from the ’30s and ’40s since they are among the earliest and most authentic specimens of this type of collectible. The “Black Americana” cookie jar is widely regarded as the most expensive antique jar ever sold at auction. The Brush-McCoy Pottery firm produced it between 1910 and the mid-’30s; it went under the hammer for $9,600 in 2012.
