40 Portraits, 4 Girls and 40 Years – The Brown Sisters’ Heartwarming Transformation Over Four Decades Captured in Pictures
Four Different Expressions, 1983
The story goes on in the following picture, taken in Massachusetts but this time, in the neighborhood of Allston. This one rather stands out from the other photos because all four sisters seem to have different moods and, consequently, different facial expressions. Still, they look pretty much alike.
Like this one, in some pictures, Nixon chose a particular sister and placed her in the spotlight. Here, Heather is at the center, looking fabulous in her natural and flawless haircut. The three others are wearing pretty white blouses while Laurie looks beautiful in a floral dress. They’re in the middle of the field, in warm but windy weather.
