Rock band The Grateful Dead was active from 1965 until 1995 and during that thirty-year period became a cultural phenomenon. Part of their immense popularity stemmed from the fact that they weren’t just a rock band. Instead, they mashed together a combination of country, reggae, rock, folk, blues, and more to create a seamless blend that on paper just might not work. They mastered live performances and in 2004 were ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as 57th of The Greatest Artists of All Time. Their wealth management team was no doubt kept very, very busy during the band’s active years.
