Andre Roussimoff was born in 1946 in Moline, France and he grew to be one of nature’s most incredible creations. He was an enormous man, hence the nickname ‘Andre the Giant’ and he capitalized on his size by becoming a professional wrestler. His bank account likely took a sharp incline as his career took off although he, unfortunately, died well before his time in 1993 as a result of congestive heart failure. Andre passed away in his sleep. The above photo gives a startling indication of his size though, dwarfing the beer can and the hand of 6-footer Terry Todd beside him.
