Music legend Louis Armstrong snapped playing music for his wife in Egypt

The pyramids of Giza are, without a doubt, a major tourist attraction as people go to revel in the grand structures. What many don’t know though is that a very iconic photo of music and jazz master, Louis Armstrong, was taken while he was playing the trumpet as his wife was listening – with the Giza as the backdrop. In 1961, Armstrong was sent to Egypt with his wife to perform as an act of cultural diplomacy. Looking at the photo and imagining yourself right there with the couple in Egypt as music is being played makes you live for a moment and forget about your loan problems even briefly.
