Former NBA player Tim James was once a United States Army specialist who did service in Iraq. Sources say that he didn’t tell anyone in the Army that he was able to play in the NBA. He formerly played for teams like the Miami Heat and the Charlotte Hornets.
He never really went back to his NBA career after his military service, as he seemed very sure about his retirement from his playing career. Although, James is still heavily involved in basketball these days because he has been the coach of the Vance-Granville Community College basketball team since 2011.
