In 2011, news broke out about Dog’s grandson allegedly being abused by his father, Travis Mimms. After a vicious custody battle, the court gave Dog and Beth temporary custody. Apparently, there was an audio clip recorded by the upstairs neighbor of Dog’s deceased daughter which revealed that the father was cursing the poor boy.
That piece of evidence led to suspicions of physical abuse. Dog and Beth were extremely affected by this episode, with Dog declaring he wanted the man to take parental classes before he would return his grandson home.
