Kellie Pickler, Age 34 – American Idol
They say that American Idol winners never do as well as those who drop before them, and Kellie Pickler is a prime example of that. She gained fame as a contestant in the competition during its fifth season. She finished in sixth place overall, but that was all she needed to gain some media spotlight.
She signed a record deal with 19 Recordings and released her first album, Small Town Girl, which was certified gold, selling over 900,000 copies. The constant spotlight also meant that she must look her best all the time, which she does pretty well by mixing edgy with a bit of risqué. She co-hosted the daytime TV talk show, Pickler & Ben, from 2017 to 2019.
