On one quick look at this picture, one might think this is the entrance of a five-star hotel, but that would not be the case. This is, in fact, a line of horse stalls and extremely fancy ones at that. Imagine a horse having accommodations that are arguably better than many people’s houses!
This stall is just one of the many majestic constructions in Al Shaqab, a famous equestrian center. Before the city and entire country were known for its oil and gas production, it was famed for its Arabian horses, and they continued the tradition of preserving the famous breeds.
