Susan Tully – Born in 1967
An 1980s and 1990s icon, everyone knew Susan Tully for playing Michelle Fowler on the iconic soap “EastEnders” from 1985. Her glory days were spent as one of the original cast members, with her character at the centre of some of the show’s biggest storylines.
In 1995, Tully decided to step out of the spotlight and pursue a career behind the camera. It was a huge change, and since then she has become a hugely respected director, working on some of Britain’s most acclaimed television dramas, including “The Bill” and “Line of Duty”. She prefers her career as a director, having given her blessing to the recasting of her character in 2016.
