Lesley-Anne Down – Born in 1954
Lesley-Anne Down rose to fame in the 1970s with her breakout role in the soap opera “The Colbys,” where she played the glamorous and scheming Lady Ashley. She also played Georgina Worsley in the acclaimed drama “Upstairs, Downstairs,” and was even voted “Britain’s Most Beautiful Teenager” at just 15!
Her glory days were a whirlwind of film roles opposite Hollywood’s biggest stars in the late 1970s. In 1985, she earned a Golden Globe nomination for the miniseries “North and South.” A little-known fact is that Lesley-Anne is also an accomplished singer. She continues to act, with her most recent role in 2024. What an incredible legacy!
