Kate Bush is a true icon! She danced onto the scene in 1978 with her single “Wuthering Heights,” becoming the first woman to top the UK chart with a self-written song. Her glory days were a whirlwind of genius, culminating in the 1985 masterpiece Hounds of Love, which featured the timeless smash “Running Up That Hill.”
This queen of pop artists won Best British Female at the BRITs in 1987. Now, she’s a private person, but though she doesn’t seek the limelight, she continues to inspire, even securing a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2023. What a legend.
