In her three decades of journalism, Wendy Burch has presented many live television news updates ranging from current events to famous court cases to red carpet events. She couldn’t have seen this one coming, though. Nobody enjoys being startled from behind, especially Burch, who received quite the surprise when a random man suddenly appeared behind her while she was being taped sometime in 2016.
Unaware that the man was playing a joke on her, the reporter shrieked. Funny enough, her scream also startled the intruder, who appeared shocked himself. The video generated a lot of buzz online, with Burch laughing it off as one of those things.
