The Other Side of the Mirror
Lila couldn’t sleep that night. She ran around the house covering every mirror she could find, just in case. It was hard to say what she was hiding from, but whatever it was, it soon found her. One mirror hanging in the hallway had slipped its sheet. When Lila walked past it on her way back to her room, she froze. Her reflection wasn’t moving.
The figure stared at her calmly. Then, it raised one hand and tapped the glass three times. Lila stepped closer, her heart racing. Behind the reflection, past the shadows, a door stood open, and the puppy was waiting.
