For KTLA’s Liberte Chan, it would have been just another workday in 2016, but because of her clothing choice, she provoked public outcry and trended online. When her co-host handed her a plain gray sweater for her to put on over her black, glittering, spaghetti-strap dress while she was on air, she hadn’t realized anything was off with her choice of attire.
She asked if he was worried about being cold because she was still unsure of what was going on, but he explained the issue so that she could grasp it. The station reportedly received several complaints from people criticizing her choice of outfit.
