She went to audition for a role where Frank Capra was so impressed by her that she bagged her first role in It’s A Wonderful Life. 1940s was her decade, and she acted in numerous high profile movies, entertaining her fans and critics across the globe. She married Cruse W. Moss in 1949 and was in a companionship with him till Moss’ death in the year 2018.

She eventually wanted to settle down and start a family which prompted her to retire from her professional life. Virginia called it quits in the year 1949, putting an end to a six-year-old career.
