Teddy Ruxpin made his debut in 1985 and the first company that produced this animatronic children’s toy was Worlds Of Wonder. But after the company’s bankruptcy in 1998, the toy’s property rights were sold to Hasbro. These days, if you want to have your reading buddy with you again, then you’d have to pay quite some cash. According to eBay, an original 1985 Teddy Ruxbin costs $1K. Well, nostalgia is worth a lot these days.
