The Kenner toy company produced in their portfolio, a line of Star Wars action figures based on the characters of the original Star Wars trilogy, and from 1978 to 1985, more than 300 million action figures were sold. Some of the older Star Wars toys are worth quite some money these days. For instance, a set of nine action figures from 1977 are on the market for $2Κ and the truth is that collectors are willing to do whatever it takes to have these rare figurines. In 2017, the Star Wars action figures and toys were the subjects of an episode of the Netflix documentary, The Toys That Made Us.
