The first Barbie Dolls were released in 1959 and they’ve never stopped ever since. Barbie is inarguably a girl’s best toy with all the doll’s clothes and accessories. Although the Barbie doll has gone through an extreme makeover since her first appearance, some people still prefer its 1959 vintage edition. If you’re interested in buying it, however, you might need to get a loan because apparently, the going rate for the doll is $27,45K (when it was sold at an auction). While for little girls, a Barbie doll is just a toy, for some people, it is a good investment. Mattel, the company that manufactures the Barbie doll, estimates that there are over 100,000 Barbie collectors around the world (which is more than a little unsettling).
