Imagine you go to the airport… and see THIS
Don’t Tell This To The Extreme Sports Community
It is called Jet Efflux Hazard or Jet Blast Hazard, and it has caused people dying in the past. The common misconception is that its just hot air blowing from the plane’s engine, but a fifty-seven-year-old woman from New Zealand, Gayleen McEwan, died from it.
A Boeing 737, was taking off from Saint Martin’s Juliana Airport and flew over the Caribbean very low. The woman was swept off her feet and hit her head on the rocks. She died shortly after due to her injuries. This jet blast is especially strong when the plane is taking off. The hot wind coming out of its jet engines is said to exceed 200mph.
