Imagine you go to the airport… and see THIS

-Are You Concealing Any Weapons Ma’am?

Airport security systems, even those with cutting edge methods, still have to rely on a proper judgment from their employees and the old fashioned search or frisk. General rules state that a male officer can frisk a female if he has reasonable doubt she may be concealing a dangerous weapon that might harm others.

However, frisking female passengers is left to female security staff. If a frisk can’t cut it, the next step is a field search, which is again conducted based on the officers’ good judgment. Police officer “pat-downs” function similarly in theory, but there are a lot of women complaints about gender or race discrimination in this aspect.
