Paula Deen has never looked better, and she shared how she shed 35 pounds in 2015. The celebrity chef said that at some point, she went home to her kitchen and threw out every food that was white, from bread to rice and potatoes to pasta. She was also proud to share that she did it for four months and saw the results soon after.
The Food Network star was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2009 but continued promoting sugar-heavy dishes until her public admission in 2012, which led to some scrutiny. She publicized the health update in an interview on NBC’s “Today” show.
