From the early 1990s into the late 2000s, Beanie Babies were among the children’s favorite toys. In fact, in the mid-’90s, there was a craze around these stuffed animals and some people were collecting them not only as a toy but also as an investment. It was because some of the Beanie Babies had a high resale value, such as the 1997 1st Edition Princess Diana Beanie Bear which can be sold on eBay for nearly $30K! Princess Diana Beanie Bear was made in honor of Princess Diana and Warner said that all of the proceeds would be donated to the charity -Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. However, the memorial fund closed in 2012.
