The Oshkosh M-ATV, or Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicle, is a highly mobile armored vehicle used by the United States military. It is proven, having protected troops and survived against improvised explosive devices , mines, and other threats in Afghanistan.
The M-ATV is equipped with advanced communication and navigation systems, as well as weapon systems for self-defense. In 2021, the U.S. Army awarded Oshkosh Defense a contract worth up to $942.9 million to produce the latest version of the M-ATV, known as the M-ATV A2, with improved armor protection, a more powerful engine, and a modernized driveline and suspension system for better off-road performance.
