Rare Pictures of Elvis Presley That Show The Rare Human Behind The Legend
Elvis’ Favorite Musicians

In this picture taken in the Knickerbocker Hotel in New York City, back in 1956, Elvis Presley checks the latest release by actress/singer Jayne Mansfield. Presley loved to watch full movies and listen to music, and his private record collection in Graceland includes a lot of Johnny Cash records, tons of Gospel music (like the Blackwood Brothers), and even a Cheech and Chong comedy album.
Elvis was also a huge fan of other rock and roll artists, like Little Richard and Ike Turner, and there were claims that he once said that New Orleans classic boogie-woogie pianist Fats Domino was the true king of rock and roll.
