Rare Pictures of Elvis Presley That Show The Rare Human Behind The Legend

Canada’s Bad Boy

It is unthinkable today, but Elvis Presley, being a pop icon recognized worldwide, played live in only two different countries during his lifetime. The King of Rock and Roll only left the US for a couple of Canadian gigs, in 1957, but his impact couldn’t have been greater.

Amidst accusations of being a bad influence on the Canadian youth, Elvis Presley’s short tour in Canada culminated in a crazy 26,000-people show in Vancouver’s Empire Stadium. To be closer to the stage and to Elvis, multiple fans crossed the security lines, to the anxiety of those policing the event. Elvis was advised to stop the show but he completed the set, despite many security concerns.
