Royal Births – 65 Years Apart
A lot of mothers gave birth at home in the olden days, and the Queen was no different. Queen Elizabeth II was 22 years old when she birthed her eldest child, Prince Charles, and was reportedly in labor for more than 30 hours. Charles’ first-born, Prince William, was the first immediate successor to the throne who was born in a hospital.
Sixty-five years later, in 2013, William’s wife, Duchess Catherine, gave birth to their first child, Prince George, at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. She was in labor for 12 hours and had 20 medical professionals assigned to take care of them.
