John Travolta
John Travolta started his career in the sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. In the show, Gabe Kaplan played the protagonist role of Gabe Kotte, a teacher who returned to his high school to teach a racially diverse remedial class called The Sweathogs. Travolta spent four years playing the role of Vinnie Barbarino, the Italian-American leader of the class. He has since starred in many blockbuster movies, especially in the ’80s, like Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and more. John has since made a switch from musicals to action films like Pulp Fiction. He has been nominated for many awards, with his most recent one being in 2016 for producing the first season of American Crime Story.
