There is no doubt that we live in the era of “fast toys” in the sense that what is new today might be old and useless tomorrow. Kids are always looking for the next best thing in toys and they always want the newest and the latest. Hey, don’t blame them – we wanted exactly the same when we ourselves were at their age! Of course, if back then we knew that all those old toys would cost a fortune today, we probably would have never thrown them away! Nowadays, there is a vintage craze and everybody is collecting retro things – from outdated cameras and clothes to old toys. Ebay is full of vintage paraphernalia waiting for a collector to pay a lot of money even if it’s just a tiny Playmobil figure. So, how many of these listed toys did you have and how much you could sell them for?
Pokemon Cards – Estimated Value $100K
Yup, that’s right, a 1998 Pikachu Illustrator Card can command a price of $100K! You must be a super fan of Pokemon cards and have money to burn if you want to get your hands on this card! Who would have thought that back in the ’90s, all these pieces of paper we were collecting would someday cost a fortune? So, if you guys out there have kids and they collect any kind of toy card, do yourself a favor and do not throw them away! By 2030, they might be ridiculously precious!
