Dawn Wells shot to fame, thanks to Gilligan’s Island
Dawn Wells starred in many movies and shows over the years, including Bonanza and The Wild Wild West in 1968. Despite all of her screen appearances, she’s definitely most remembered for the role she played on Gilligan’s Island. She played Mary Ann Summers and although her character isn’t one with an in-depth backstory, she fulfills the role of laundry expert and the cook for the ‘islanders.’ She could definitely do with some debt relief though as Wells lost a significant amount of her wealth during the financial crash in 2008. She’s since had a GoFund page set up after incurring $200K in debt on medical bills.
