Bobby Jones, Died At Age 69 – $5 Million
Bobby Jones is a notable name in the golf scene because he was actually one of the people who founded the Masters Tournament. He experienced an all-time high in his career from 1923 until 1930. By the ’40s, he was able to serve in the U.S. Army Air Forces during the Second World War.
He was an officer who later became a major, but there was also a time wherein he was a prisoner of war interrogator. Jones ultimately reached the Lieutenant Colonel rank. He discovered he had syringomyelia back in 1948, and this eventually led to his death in December 1971.
