Christy Mathewson, Died At Age 45 – Net Worth Undisclosed

Christy Mathewson spent more than a decade playing baseball with the New York Giants. People have referred to him using a number of monikers such as The Christian Gentleman, The Gentleman’s Hurler, Matty, and Big Six. During the First World War, he served in the United States Army’s Chemical Warfare Service.
During one of his training sessions, an accident happened wherein he got gassed with chemical weapons. Mathewson ended up getting tuberculosis, and this led to his unexpected death back in 1925. He was only 45 years old during that time.
