Athletes Who Served In The Military – Some Of Them Should Be Considered National Heroes
Roger Staubach, Age 77 – $600 Million
During the late 1960s, Roger Staubach started playing for the Dallas Cowboys. What some of you might not know is that he was a United States Naval Academy graduate. He was already playing football during this time and was known for being a key player of the Midshipmen football team.
Staubach later got to serve as a Navy Supply Corps officer during the Vietnam War. Outside of football, his fortune also grew thanks to the success of his real estate company called The Staubach Company. In 2018, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
