Ty Cobb, Died At Age 74 – $98.8 Million

Ty Cobb was able to earn a lot of money in his life because, aside from being a successful baseball player, he also invested early in big companies like Coca Cola and General Motors. He was part of the Detroit Tigers for more than two decades.

Cobb’s enlistment in the United States Army happened back in 1918, and he was part of the Chemical Corps branch. He was able to get an honorable discharge after 67 days in service. When he passed away back in July 1961, it was said that his fortune was at $11.78 million, which is equivalent to$98.8 million these days.
