Elvis was a people’s favorite, but his charisma was so present that he didn’t have any problems in making famous friends and fans all over the place. Elvis and Sammy Davis Jr. met in the ’50s and remained friends for years. Davis Jr. would even include an Elvis impersonation in his set that the King himself loved and laughed at.
In this picture, taken in 1970 at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, the two singers can be seen having fun together, with Sammy in between puffing his cigarette. Elvis once called Sammy Davis Jr. the biggest black star he had ever seen.
