Meghan Markle was born on August 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, Califonia. Since Markle’s mother, Doris Ragland, has African ancestry, controversy sparked when Markle became a part of the royal family, as she has mixed ethnic heritage. Before she became the Duchess of Sussex, she was an actress famous for her role as Rachel Zane in the TV series Suits.
