Jack Dempsey, Died At Age 87 – Net Worth Undisclosed

Jack Dempsey entered the boxing scene in 1914. He had a seven-year reign as the world heavyweight champion and was seen by many as a cultural icon. He was part of the New York State Guard during the Second World War, but he later transferred to the Coast Guard Reserve.
Dempsey was actually very popular already during his years in service, but he wasn’t given any special treatment whatsoever. He was given an honorable discharge in 1952 and later got to write a book titled Championship Fighting: Explosive Punching and Aggressive Defense. He was 87 when he died back in 1983 due to heart failure.
